TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES
It is a school reopening day after the Annual exam leave. Sam is a boy who studying ninth grade and this year he moving into Tenth grade. As usual Sam discussing with his friends how he spent his vacation in a village. There are some new faces inside the class who were the new joiners to that school. An hour later a pretty girl comes to class and she too a new joiner. Here name is Angel. The name Angel perfectly suits her. She is like an angel who came down to the earth. She got pretty eyes, soft lips. She excused the teacher for getting late to the school as she is new to the city, her dad don’t have any idea about the city traffics during peak hours. Her eyes blinked like a butter fly when she apologizing. Teacher allowed her in and asks her to give a small self-introduction about her in-front of the class.
She is Angel, her dad is a central government employee working for BHEL and her father got transferred to Trichy a week ago which is also his native. She is a second child for their parents and she has an elder brother. Her mom is a private college professor who also joined a college in Trichy. Angel is from well and good economic background. Whereas Sam is from a poor background and his father is a vegetable seller in his locality. His native is somewhere from interior south India and they settled in Trichy for his children education. Sam is the elder son for his parents after him there are three sisters. Sam is good in his studies and sports. Every teacher in school is very affectionate on Sam because of his talent. Sam’s education was funded by a business man in his locality.
After morning classes gets over, during the lunch break all the students started to make friendship with new joiners. As like everyone Sam, Angel and some of other three students became friends. As like normal friendship they started fooling around them and shared their foods, snacks among them. Even-though they are friends, relation between Sam and Angle is quite different. They used to care each other more and more comparing with others. Initially they don't know where they are moving into.
As it is the tenth grade (SSLC) all of them are concentrating for board exams. Later on they finished their schooling and moved to college. Angel got admission in Bangalore and Sam got admission in Chennai. Sam used to work in part time to meet his personal expenses. At this point they began to realize their true relationship. They started to miss each other. They cannot able to meet each other during their first year. They both came to native during semester holidays. Sam reached two days before Angel. Sam was waiting to see his Angel; still he couldn’t conclude it as love. Angel arrives two days later, on the same evening they both meet at a shop. Tears started to flow from their eyes, as it is a public place they hide their feelings inside them. They decided to meet at park on next day noon.
Next day Sam reached the park one hour before and waited for Angel. She looks like a beautiful in her white chudithar. Sam lost in his own world after seeing her in that dress. She came near and said “Hello Sam...” There is no response from him and she continues to wave her hand before him, still no response. She shook him well and now Sam came back to conscious.
Again she said “Hello Sam”, He replied “Hi Angel. How are you?”
Angel said “Am fine Sam and how are you?”
Sam said “Am good Angel. By the way how was your journey?”
Angel said “Yes good. It seems you came home before me, When you came home Sam?”
Sam said “Yes, two days before, how your studies going on and it has been one year we met”
Angel told “Not bad Sam”
Sam replied “Hmm…”
Angel said “Sam…”
Sam said “Yes”
Angel said “Mmhum, nothing Sam”
Sam replied “Hmmm”
There was a pin drop silence for next few minutes. They simply staring each other and they are not sure whether it is love or just infatuation. Angel started the conversation “Did you meet our friends?”
Sam replied “No Angel. I don’t have contact with them. Do you contact them?”
Angel replied “No Sam. You is the only school friend whom I meeting after long gap. Really I miss all our school friends. The days we spent together are my sweet memories Sam”
Sam said “Yes, you are rite”. Again silence for few minutes.
Sam starts conversation “Do you have phone with you in college?”
Angel replied “No Sam, May be this time I will take phone with me”
Sam said “Ok. Once you get mobile share your number with me.”
Angel replied “Sure da. Tell me your number” Sam gave his phone number to her and they bid bye.
During this meet they can’t able express their feelings. They both went back to their colleges after their semester holidays. Angel shared her mobile number to him. Sam managed to buy a phone for him by his hard earned money. They started their chat through mobile. Later, mobile texts changed to phone calls. They started to speak through phone every day and at the same time they concentrated in their studies. It is a week before Valentine’s Day. While speaking Angel asked “What is the plan for Valentine’s Day?”
Sam replied “Nothing special yaar. It will be also like a normal day” Angel said “Hmm ok.” Then they hung up the phone after some random talks and went back to sleep. After Sam hits the bed a spark ignited in his mind “What makes her to ask such question to me? Whether she means anything to me?” He was under confusion and he didn’t sleep well that night. Later he decided let confuse his love to her on Valentine’s Day. He managed to get tickets to Bangalore ad contacted his friends to stay with them.
He reached Bangalore on 13th February and at midnight he went to her PG where she staying and called her thru phone. She attended that call and said “Hello… Who is this?”
Sam replied “Hello Angel, will you please come down to the street?”
Angel was shocked on hearing this and said “Don’t make fun Sam. Am feeling sleepy, I will call you in the morning” and hung up her phone. Again he called her and he said “I am waiting near you PG to see you”
She cannot believe her ears and asked herself, “Am I dreaming, No am not dreaming and hell it’s real, Sam How you came here and what makes you to come to Bangalore?”
Sam said “Angel you just come down I will explain you in detail” She went down and saw Sam standing near gate, she run towards him and asked him “Tell me now what made you to come here?” Suddenly he hugged her, at first she doesn’t know what’s going on and she was in shock. Clock hits 12:00 and he proposed her “Babe I love you, Will you be with me at all sort of time?” Still she was in shock, now Sam shook her and she came back to this world. She never expects this romantic propose from Sam. Her eyes are filled with tears, yes tears is due to immense happiness. Sam asked her “Do you love me or …!” She replied “Yes idiot, I love you too. It takes this much time to confess your love to me?” and she hugged her. Both went to their own world, later they both went for a short walk. Then he dropped Angel at her PG and came back to his friend room. Next day they went out for the lunch and same day night Sam returned to his college. After this they used to meet once in a month or once in two months. They explored length and breadth of Bangalore and Chennai. They were like “Made for each other” couple. Usually their friends feel jealous on them for being like that.
This relationship continued without any problem till their final year. Both got placed in a good MNC and started their career. Now the trouble starts for them. Angel parents asked her for marriage, but she said “Let me work for one year later I will do it” Her parents left on her own. Meanwhile Sam’s father passed away, he became the prime earner of his family. He is responsible for his family and sisters. One year went like a minute and during this time Sam managed to marry one his sister to their close relative who settled in German, rest two of them were doing their under graduation. As he is from economically backward family, he thinks that their marriage won’t go well. Sam and Angel were under pressure. Angel parents began to force her for marriage and as usual she denies. Her father brought lot of marriage proposals from their relative and friends circle, she keep on reject the proposals.
One day Sam called Angel and asked her to meet him in nearby park. She went to park and he met Sam. Sam said “Angel I think our marriage won’t happen. I have lot of responsibilities to do for my family. It will take three to four more years and your parents would not wait till then. Moreover am from poor background so that also will become one of the reasons. So better we break up” Angel shattered into pieces, she tries to convince him. But he was firm at his decision because he doesn’t want to mess up her life. At last she gives up and they had mutual break up. Sam got onsite opportunity thru his company and he went USA.
Still her parents try to bring marriage proposals but at one point Angel starts to behave rude towards groom family who came to her house for a meet. Slowly her father stopped the alliance search. They fixed marriage for her brother and it went well. Her brother blessed with a baby boy. People in their locality thought that Angel was under some mental disorder and she became psych. Still she was unmarried. Sam was not aware of these things. He came back to India after five years for a vacation of four months. In these five years he did marriage to her two sisters and they both got settled in their life. Now it’s time for Sam’s marriage and his mom planned to fix his marriage during his vacation. During the visit he asked his mother about Angel. His mom said the total scenarios that happened in Angel’s house and her present situation. Sam shocked on hearing this and he felt guilt for her because he is the only reason for Angel’s situation. This is his big shock heard in his lifetime. A girl ruined her own life only for him.
He told her mother that he will marry Angel. But his mother didn’t accept it as she was a psych. He tried to convince his mother by hiding his past love with Angel, his mother was very adamant in her decision. At last he revelled the truth why Angel became like this. He went to her house to meet her. He met her father and told him about his love. At first her father was angry towards him but he consoled himself and proud about their relationship. Yes Angel is not an ordinary girl like others, she was very much faithful to her love and she respects it. In Sam point of view he thought not to hurt their parents by forcing them for their marriage and hurt them. Finally both families arranged their marriage on the same day when Sam proposed Angel. Yes their marriage is on February 14th.
