PLANET-X, CHAPTER-02, GSLV Mk III
Once they start their "Mission J", problem they faced is distance. Distance between Earth and Jupiter is 588 million kms next problem is the time taken to reach Jupiter. We can wait but Earth cannot wait for long time. As of now maximum speed of a rocket is 28,450 km/hr. based on this speed time taken to reach Jupiter will take around 2.5 yrs to 3 yrs. So scientist planned to increase the speed of the rocket and it can reach the planet in 6 to 7 months. It all took 15 years of time to invent these all. Once they finalised everything all the prototypes are taken into production. Timeline given to the vendors is only 1.5 years. It took 3 years to assemble the rocket and satellites, for inspection they took 3 years. Then finally the rocket GSLV Mk III is ready for take-off with four geo satellites and three space shuttles.Next problem is, who will be going to Jupiter whether a man or the robot. Man can go there, but who will be willing to risk their life in this mission. So scientists came up with a solution to send a robot to Jupiter to check and re-confirm the planet’s bio system. But robot is not capable of do all the necessary tests by own. We should pre-program the robots for the tests. We also cannot predict the situations in Jupiter. SO we need a highly talented robot. Scientists invented a robot with AI (Artificial Intelligence), world’s first robot with artificial intelligence. This robot is tested and found it is able of adapt to its surroundings and also has a capacity to learn. As a preventive action they also added a self-destructive option which cannot be override by the robot. In case of emergency humans can set the robot to self-destructive mode, so that it won’t be harmful to anyone in unexpected emergency situation. Scientists decided to send six robots to the planet. Those robots are trained well as like a human and ready for the mission. The role and motive of this mission is to test the water, check the oxygen level in atmosphere, density of soil, close look of the land, soil tests whether the soil will fit for the agriculture and average rainfall. Robots are trained to cultivate the crops in Jupiter to check the soil capacity.
All the team is ready with rocket, space shuttle and robots but from where it is to be launched, because all the launch stations are being watched by the NASA. Even all the countries are being under surveillance by NASA satellites, it is not easy to escape from those satellites. So Indian scientists face one more hurdle on their way as it is the secret mission no one should know about their mission. So the rocket launch has not to be spotted by the satellites. Already Indian scientists are good in these activities. Once they have successfully done the nuclear bomb testing without being noticed by the other countries. So the same tactics has been handled at this situation. They set up a new rocket launch site in somewhere in the Arabian Sea which is not able to spot by the satellites. After lot of struggles the day arrived and the final countdown of the rocket is starts. Finally on 11th July, 2216 rocket is into the orbit. GSLV Mk III carries the billions peoples dream in the vacuum space.
